RETREAT RELAX SLEEP
RETREAT RELAX SLEEP
Rest, recovery and relaxation are not only key components of any good training plan, but they’re vital ingredients for your general wellbeing too. It’s why at On the Rivet we’ve placed great emphasis on ensuring high levels of R&R are experienced, so that you feel well rested during your stay with us and, when the time comes, fully energised when you leave.
We count ourselves extremely fortunate to call West Dorset the home of On the Rivet. Not only for the stunning landscape and scenery - which make our rides so special - but also for the incredible houses that we have handpicked to base our retreats from.
Beautiful, relaxed and all with their own homely charm, touch of luxury and spa facilities to complete your retreat experience. Whichever house you stay at, you can be sure that each one will come complete with the On the Rivet Trademark of a relaxed, fun atmosphere, great food and all the finishing touches a cyclist could possibly need.
We will specify which house you will be staying at the time of booking your retreat. On the Rivet Cycling Fitness retreats are based at the following locations.
Mangerton House is situated just 2 miles outside of Bridport, and is set within 14 acres of land with the Mangerton River running through the grounds.
Once inside you’ll find cool, contemporary and bespoke design combined with the original 19th century character of the house - Giving rise to stunning spaces that are welcoming, luxurious, and both lively and relaxing.
Facilities include an indoor swimming pool which overlooks the kitchen garden, steam room and multi gym, a natural outdoor swimming pond, an island with a wood fired pizza oven and a conference facility which includes a boardroom table, soft seating and a 60 inch plasma cinema screen.
Crepe Farmhouse is located in the village of Symondsbury just east of the coastal market town of Bridport. The beautiful village of Symondsbury has its own mountain bike trail and skills park and is overlooked by iconic Colmers Hill.
The house is a substantial solid stone farmhouse which offers lovely generous living areas, pared back simple country styling where character shines through, as is especially the case with the farmhouse’s inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove, further adding to the homely and relaxing feel.
Facilities include, swimming pool, sauna, hot tub and extensive gardens that include a large terraced area for some al fresco dining.
Your On the Rivet experience includes the option of a massage therapy delivered by expert therapists.
Deep Tissue Massage which relieves tension in muscle and connective tissues and is especially beneficial to cyclists and for those who have specific injuries.
Theraputic Massage to help rejuvenate both body and mind. A soothing massage designed to combat stress and general aches and pains leaving you completely relaxed and refreshed.
